A brief bio...
I am an English freelance writer, journalist, columnist & author producing hard-hitting news and analysis in the US, UK and Canada. I specialize in international affairs, energy, media and faith issues.
I am currently International Associate Editor for the US online energy publication Energy Tribune but write a regular column for the new UK news site The Commentator as well as a wide spectrum of publications in the UK (I live near Colchester, England), US and Canada.
My chief aim is to correct much of what passes for news & analysis in an increasingly shallow, often ideologically left-leaning mainstream media. My abiding standards are the traditional ones (those sadly ignored by most journalists today).
All of us are guided by some idelogical and moral principles though most writers and journalists in the left-leaning mainstream will attaempt to deny it. Mine are conservative (Thatcher/Reagan, not the woolly David Cameron version) and Christian. My guiding principles (unlike many journalists today) are: facts, reason and truth.
I have authored a number of books including two on energy and environment issues and others on issues affecting the modern church. I also write for a number of Christian periodicals in the in the UK, US and Canada.
My earlier background was as a freelance media consultant for a number of international charities. Before that I worked in the criminal law as a Higher Legal Executive and a national spokesman for the UK Crown Prosecution Service.
My chief goal is to contribute strong but fair news and geo-political analysis with, I hope, insight and wit.
Favourite quote: Maximus Decimus Meridius "Brothers, what we do in life echoes in eternity". It sure does. PCG.
