Polanski: Stuff The Do-Gooders, It Should Be Justice At Last

I have watched with increasing incredulity at the number of do-gooders demanding Polanski's release in the media - and I have no doubt that much of their vehemence is connected with their visceral hatred for the United States.
The fact is that this man got an under-age girl drunk before raping her. Having pleaded guilty he then absconded never to face justice for his crime. This fear of arrest over decades, so the arguments of do-gooders runs, should be penatly enough. They also cite the girl concerned (now in her forties) who wants to let matters rest. What they don't realise is that it is NOT just about the girl concerned. The crime is a crime against the community and the community has a responsibility to deal with it.
The fact is that American society often has a greater sense of justice than does European society. Note how even a leftwing, liberal US president is deeply offended by scotland's decision to release the Lockerbie mass-murderer. They have instituted extradition proceedings against Polanski in the same vein - justice should be done.
And now the moronic Hollywood liberal gliterrati have drafted a petition demanding Polanski's release. That settles it then, he must be deserving of extradition and serving time if they think he should be free.
Polanski deserves jail time - perhaps, not least, for making some very bad movies - and the US justice system is the only one with guts enough to see he gets it.
