The Reemergence of German Dominance in Europe
Monday, May 3, 2010 at 09:35AM While the politicians remain wrapped up in concern over Greece's economic situation and its potential effect on the EU, few realise what has happened to undermine the entire EU project.
Germany's refusal to keep footing the bill for Europe's southern states and their incompetent socialist governments is highly revealing that Germany has, once again, risen to the top of the political pile in Europe. Ironic, is it not, that a project designed to restrain German power should end up in its thrall.
